Ninjatrader keeps Freezing

    When it freezes again I will take a screenshot of my task manager. I really don't see it being a computer issue, I have not installed anything new on this computer and have kept it the same for the last 3 years running NT7.

    There is no other performance issues on the computer other then after the NT freeze happens.

      NinjaTrader_ChelseaB I private messaged you 2 pictures of the task manager after NT7 got disconnected from the price feed and froze.

        Thanks for the screenshot.

        The screenshot shows that the CPU is not maxed out and the memory usage from NinjaTrader is low.

        This would indicate that there is something causing NinjaTrader to freeze.

          Ok I sent the email. Is it possible to just reinstall the same version of NT7 without uninstalling and losing all my indicators? I may just try that.

            Hi Inferno30,

            Yes, when unisntalling / reinstalling / upgrading NinjaTrader, the (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\ folder which holds your settings such as indicators, strategies, your connections, historical data, etc. will not be removed. Meaning your settings will not be lost.

              Ok for now I tried a repair from the install wizard, if the problem happens again, I will try a uninstall and reinstall.

                Hi I have the same problem, since I've continuum as a data feed. With zen-fire I never had problems.
                Once the connection interrupts freezes the NinjaTrader and I have to start the task manager NinjaTrader new. Normal would for a disconect simply press conect and everything would continue to run.

                    Hello, i send a note on support. The answer did not bring the solution.

                    I make a short video to show what happen . I provoke a freeze by uploading a file. After the connection is lost freezes the NinjaTrader and nothing works


                    I hope it helps to solve the problem.

                      Thank you for the video.

                      This is expected behavior. NinjaTrader will not be responsive as it trys to reconnect your connection.

                      Once the connection has been re-established NinjaTrader will be responsive again.

                        Today I again had a disconnect. The latency was normal (see the pic)but NinjaTrader does not reconnect managed. When I clicked on a Control Center came again to freeze. I had to quit NinjaTrader using the Task Manager. With zen-fire I had no problems for 6 years.

                          How much time are you allowing NinjaTrader (without clicking on it) to attempt to re-establish your connection?

                          If NinjaTrader is left as is, is NinjaTrader unable to re-establish a connection after 10 minutes?
