    IB connection Issues

    After 3 days of trying to connect to my IB account I'm still pulling my hair out. I've sent a couple e-mails for support but all I actually received was a link to the NT website that shows screen shots of old versions of both software(s). I finally got the "IB connection" to appear in the provider drop down list by having NT "billing" make some changes to my "key."

    But NT seems to have a mind of it's own on my computer, sometimes it actually opens up a web browser (that I never use) other times it will open the IB Trader Work Station,, but then it (NT) never makes the "connection" between the two, and the IB TWS will close.

    Then it appears NT doesn't really shut down, because if I try to open it (NT) again I get a message "I can't have (2) instances of NT at the same time." Then the cycle starts all over again, the TWS login box appears I enter the "info" it (TWS) opens but NT never makes the "connection",,, then TWS and NT closes (kind of).

    I'm sure it ALL ME but I'll be damned if I can figure out which little box I need to fill in. Since I don't know the difference between a file and a folder when it comes to computers, it sure frustrates me.

    I'm simply looking for direction

    Thanks for your post.

    So I may assist you further please answer the following.

    1) What version of NinjaTrader are you using? (Example: 7.0.1000.21)

    * You can check under Help -> About

    2) What build of Traders Workstation are you using? (Example: 938.1)

    * To verify what version of Traders Workstation you currently have log into Traders Workstation
    * Under Help go to About Traders Workstation...
    * Scroll down and look for Build

    3) Does your Traders Workstation settings match the ones in the second screen shot of our Interactive Brokers connection guide?

    4) Are you using Mosaic Mode and if so do you have the Advanced Order Management (TWS) window open?
    5) Does the icon at the top left of your Traders Workstation match the one in the Interactive Brokers Connection Guide? (blue box with IB inside)
