    lost connection and then connection

    I am a subscriber to Kinetick real-time paid service, and from time to time, Ninjatrader is losing connection and then connect again with that sound beeping and does that for an average time of 3 minutes, especially when I try to switch the time frames e.g from 1 minute to 1 day

    So I switch to my platform charts to view the charts while ninjatrader is still loading !!! with the beeps sound its really frustrating,

    Other programs on my PC are getting their data feed very smoothly, so I don't think its with my internet connection.

    and I already downloaded the data from the download manager and only 500 bars is showing at a time

    Any hints is appreciated

    Hello,

    NinjaTrader is more aggressive in detecting disconnects than other applications or platforms.

    Are you on a Wired or Wireless connection?

    Do you use any Anti-Virus or Firewall software?

    If you have not yet, please restart your PC and any other Network hardware such as modems or routers.

      I am on a wired connection
      Just turned off firewall and antivirus for now
      and will restart PC and feed you back

        A related problem that I discovered last year when going to a new PC was that the auto back-up software was contributing to the disconnect/data disruptions. I did not have an active back-up engaged but the software was busy in the background examining the data for indexing, etc. and was the source of my data difficulties.

          Thank you for your feedback, we've seen this in the past as well and we suggest excluding the following locations for Anti-Virus, Automated Backup and Firewall.

          * C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7
          * \Documents\NinjaTrader 7
          CameronNinjaTrader Customer Service

            Thank you all for your feedback, well I have noticed I slight improvement after I turned off the anti-virus and firewall, (and then made an exception for ninjatrader in them),

            But I still see that Ninjatrader charts are slower loading data than my main platform charts (no indicators and same period and same data range).

            I am an active trader and speed is my edge
