According to my contact at AMP, with Rithmic:

- NO server side OCO
- NO Eurex instruments ... at this point in time.

Rithmic does have server side orders with their RTrader and RTraderPro platforms and their new R/API Plus allows for other platforms plugging into Rithmic to also have server side orders. As per Ray this new API Plus functionality will not be incorporated in the R19 build. Rithmic does allow for multiple logins. So you can connect with both NT and RTrader with NT charting Rithmic data and use the RTrader DOM for entry order placement to get the server side benefit. You can then manage the orders from NT's ChartTrader and preserve the server side functionality. Got this today from Rithmic's Jonathan Walden.

Agreed.

Optimus had already told me about R-Trader, but I did not mention it my reply to you (I was about to) but on reading your question I thought that having to place OCO's through a web portal rather than in NT may not have suited your requirements.

Thanks Steve.

My requirements are for a best solution to the problem of replacing Zen-Fire. I like CQG Q Trader's DOM the best of all I've seen. The fact that you can send indicator values to be plotted as markers on the DOM is a good solution for someone like me who is strictly a discretionary chart trader. However this feature is slated to appear in NT8's DOM as a programmable column. Because I consider Rithmic to be the best at data/order handling among all the alternatives and that the R/Trader DOM / NT Charting combination mentioned is an acceptable short term work around until NT8 is released or until the Rithmic R/API Plus becomes integrated into NT, this is for me a good resolution. In addition, although I chart locally with a Kinetick feed I execute from a VPS in Chicago and this goes a long way to providing the up time dependability and speed of execution one gets with server side orders (< 1 ms).

The only thing I know is that Rithmic was Zenfire and I loved Zenfire...

Also, with CQG you have to pay for data feed for trading the DAX which is an instrument I trade....

So unless someone tells me otherwise, I think I will choose Rithmic.......

Any thoughts?

Naked trade...

"We do not support server side OCO's in Rithmic at this time. We will look to add it in the future."

So I assume this would include a standard ATM order entered with pending Stop and Target.

So is this still not residing on the server side at AMP/Rithmic?
In other words if I lose power I'm in a naked trade.

thanks,

Hello billy,

Thanks for your post.

With all providers pending orders will only reside on NinjaTrader. Once orders become accepted or working they reside at the exchange or brokers server.

Below I have provided a link to our 'Where do your orders reside?' forum topic.
Note: This information is relevant for NinjaTrader 7 only. For NinjaTrader 8, please click here (https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8/where_do_your_orders_reside_.htm). CQG Orders in a state "Accepted" or "Working" are at the exchange. If the exchange does not support a specific order type, the

Additionally below I want to give you some examples.

If you place a stop limit order with and ATM strategy the ATM will reside with NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader must be running to execute the ATM strategy once the stop limit order is filled. This is the case for all providers.

Now once the ATM strategy is filled and your targets/stops are accepted/working, your targets/stops will reside on the exchange/brokers server. If you are connected to a provider that does not support server side OCO and you lose connection the order will still be active. If the target was then filled the stop would not be canceled out. NinjaTrader would have to be connected to cancel the stop when server side OCO is not supported.

If your broker gives you multiple logins to the Rithmic data stream you can place server side OCO entry orders using the Rithmic r|Trader DOM (they call it a bracket order) and then see the order on your NT chart. Once the order is placed in the r|t DOM you can manipulate it with ChartTrader. Best of both worlds.

Does Ninja still support Rithmic?

I just spoke with AMP and the tech guy and he says for Ninja that I can not get Rithmic as it is no longer supported, but prior users are grand fathered in. I do not have a live lic account yet with Ninja.

Please confirm.

TIA

John
