    CQG vs. Rithmic

I see AMP will now be offering Rithmic for free too and will require R19 of NinjaTrader which will be released later this week. Any thoughts on which one is "better" or what the differences are between them? http://ampfutures-rithmic.com/

I'd be interested in this as well.

Here's a thread at Big Mike's from a few years ago. Not sure how current the info is. https://www.bigmiketrading.com/broke...s-amp-cqg.html

A question for NinjaTrader. Is it possible to set up 2 connections in NT R19, one being to Rithmic through AMP, and the other being to CQG through AMP? Could you just log out of one and then into the other in the same session of using NT? Thanks.

With a single broker license key, you will only be able to connect to either CQG or Rithmic technology. If you have a CQG license key, you cannot connect to Rithmic, regardless if you're logged out of CQG.

A multi-broker license key is required to connect to more than one brokerage technology.

In addition, you likely would need two separately funded accounts at AMP to do this. Verify this with them.

Thanks, Matthew. Do I need to tell AMP which one I've chosen?

Any personal thoughts on one vs. the other?

Both feeds historically have been solid for NinjaTrader for many years.

Yes I was researching this a bit and they both seemed good. Thanks.

One other thing. Is there any difference as far as historical data or anything like that?

AMP confirmed this and we choose which one we want through the Clients Portal. But we can switch to the other one if we like.

Thanks, Ray. I meant if one offered it and the other didn't. I guess they both do.

Is the Generic Rithmic API that will be in NT R19 based on the Rithmic R/API Plus which allows for server side OCO 's ?

We do not support server side OCO's in Rithmic at this time. We will look to add it in the future.
