    Oco tif gtc

    Hello,

I do most of my trading from the chart trader. I buy at market, then turn on OCO by CTRL+Z, then I use the right mouse button to set the stop loss and profit target so if it hits either one the other order will be cancelled.

However, when I do it this way, by default the order time in force (TIF) is set to DAY. I'd like it to default to GTC.

Is there a setting to make this type of OCO placement from the chart trader GTC instead of DAY?

    Thank you,
    Christi

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us.

The TIF setting must first be set to GTC before orders are submitted. Unfortunately, there is not a way to force this to occur automatically; the change must be made manually.

Just to follow up, I found that although I'm not using an ATM strategy, if I click on the drop down menu and change the TIF to GTC and click OK (still with no ATM strategy selected), then when I place an OCO by using the method I described above it will now submit it GTC.
