    Can't Connect To Zen-Fire w/ Version 18

    I am building a new machine and installed Ninjatrader version 18. I am a Mirus client, and when I set up the Zen-Fire connection and try to connect, it says:

    Login failed: No accounts found

    I have another machine running version 14 that connects with no problem I noticed that on this machine that works, when I "modify" the account info, the final page shows account connection information including entries for Data/Trading, Domain, Broker, License, and Logger all containing rithmic information.

    On the new machine running version 18, when I get to the same screen after modifying none of these entries showing rithmic data is there, and there are two new/different ones: Environment and Local OCO Simulation.

    Based on the error message which you are receiving I recommend that you contact your broker as they should be able to resolve this login issue quickly. Mirus support can be contacted by phone at 312.262.1288.

      Hi Kyle,

      Thanks for getting back so quickly. Because I can log into Mirus using the same login info from a different machine (with an older version of Ninja), it does not seem like the problem is at Mirus.

      The settings shown when the "Settings" button is pressed on the Zen-Fire connection options page is very different in Ninja version 18 compared to 14. Is this as it should be ? Where is the configuration information shown under settings in version 14 now kept ?

        While I do follow your logic, Mirus support has specifically requested that we instruct all of their clients which encounter this error to follow up with Mirus support directly.

          Here is how I got this to work....

          I had a similar problem as described below..
          (Login failed: No accounts found )

          Here is how I got the Zen-Fire connection to work....
          after installing Version 18....

          1) delete your Mirus connection
          2) hit Repair DB in the Data tab under Options.
          3) shut down Ninja
          4) start Ninja and redo your Mirus connection info
          5) redo the Ninja start up icon in the task bar (this seemed to be the final key to get it all working OK)

          May want to refresh your router and modem also before the above....

          Working good for me now....

            just a note...

            Last week Ninja Zen-Fire eventually worked OK for me for several days.
            This morning could not connect to Zen....fussed around with stuff and then eventually uninstalled Ninja V18 and reinstalled V18...
            then immediately connected to Zen with no problem and things working OK now...

              I'm looking for help information on the "Local OCO Simulation" checkbox so I know whether to enable it or keep it disabled.

                By default, it will be unchecked, meaning that your OCO link will be held on the broker server.

                If you instead wish to have your OCO link simulated by NinjaTrader (meaning NinjaTrader needs to be running), you can check that option.

                  Thanks, Matthew. Upon trying to connect to Mirus / Zenfire, I receive only "Login Failed: No account found". I see many forum threads on connectivity problems, so I suspect it will resolve.

                    kirkvan, double check how your account is written. Looks account names look different in "new" zenfire. I use BigTick and account number is simpler syntax than it was with zenfire before.

                      @gain247, thx. I haven't received any notice from Mirus that account numbers have changed from the original username (email address) and password they first provided.

                        kirkvan, I mean your account number, not username/password. Earlier zenfire had account numbers were like 123456!MIRUS... now they are simply 12345 or something along the lines. Just an idea to check if that has any effect, that's all.

                          For errors about "Account not found" please contact your Zen-Fire broker as they are aware and can fix this up for you quickly.

                            8:30am Pacific...Ninja Zen-Fire connection lost....another live data stream (Tradestation) still running OK...
