Try clicking on the item above that: your mouse may simply have lost precision, and is reading an offset. Depending on your mouse brand and driver, you may be able to recalibrate it. Barring that ...Originally posted by joemiller View Postyes, I am sure I am clicking on "copy".
I am sure I am not clicking on "go to".

my original question was:
"when I hilite a string and right click EXPECTING A DROP DOWN LIST so I can do a copy, a 'go to' window IMMEDIATELY pops up instead"
please note that the drop down window with copy, paste, etc. choices is never displayed. instead the 'go to' window immediately appears.
I should have picked up on this misunderstanding and sent this reply earlier. my oversight and apologies.

Hello joemiller,
Thanks for the clarification.
Can you try to uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader by following the steps listed below:
Note this will not remove any data or settings.
* Close all running applications.
* Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs.
* From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 7 and click Remove.
* Reboot your machine.
* Once these steps are completed, download NT7 and install it
Then test to see if the menu items are back again.
Let me know if they still do not appear after this.Last edited by NinjaTrader_JC; 12-12-2013, 03:24 PM.JCNinjaTrader Customer Service

Hm. Do you have another mouse? If so, try using that one and let's see if you have a hardware issue.Originally posted by joemiller View Postmy original question was:

I ask because, we may have an issue of spurious clicks being sent here. Not theoretical: I had a MS mouse that used to do that. I would try to select, and instead of a single click, it would send a double-click.

issue resolved ... i think ... probably ... maybe
reinstalling ninja resulted in a pronounced improvement. thanks jc. goofy things continued to occur but decidedly less frequently. this morning I got hold of a different mouse and that seems to have resolved the issue. not entirely sure yet. thanks koganam. per your suggestion I may look into recalibrating the old mouse.

I had this happen at work. The mouse ended up dead that same day.
I have another at home that refuses to accept most clicks.
