Setting FXCM as default instead of SIM

Hello, when I load NinjaTrader, I always have to select my Live account FXCM account # in 2 places: chart trader, and the Order panel in the Control Center.
How can I set the Live account as the default in both places so I do not have to do this?

So that I can help you to configure NinjaTrader to function in this way can you please tell me whether NinjaTrader automatically connects to FXCM as you start up or if you manually connect via the File > Connect menu after starting the software?

Hi Kyle,
I currently have it setup to autoconnect.
Also, I do have Tools, Options, Simulator, always start in SIM unchecked.

Hello,

In order to cause live accounts to be selected automatically the Connect on Start Up feature must first be disabled:

• Open the Account Connections menu (Tools > Account Connections), select your connection and click Change.
• In the Connection Wizard, un-check the Connect on Start Up feature.

Next, select your live account in all order entry windows and save the workspace. (File > Workspaces > Save Workspace)


Restart NinjaTrader. After manually connecting via the File > Connect menu you should see the live accounts automatically selected.
