price validation

Hello,

I'm trading an automated strategy connected to FXCM using version 7.0.1000.16, and a 2am there was an error "FXCM, Unable to change order. Order price did not pass validation affected Order: BuyToCover 20000 Stop @ 0.8625.

What does this error mean? What is price validation? It shut down the strategy, which appeared to be functioning properly.

Hello Smiley,

This message means that the price that you try to change your order to was at an invalid price. So since your order was a buy order you may want to check to make sure that the order is going to be above the Ask price so that your order does not get rejected. If you are using a sell order it will need to be below the bid price as well.
