Rangebars only plot live

Hello!
I'm just playing with rangebars but can't manage to plot a historical chart with rangebars. The only thing that works is live plotting with data from the TWS. Is there a way to display daily or weekly charts with rangebars? Because when I am in the live chart and switch to daily, the rangebars vanish and I get a standard daily chart. Do I have to owe the full version of NinjaTrader?

Hello the_korn,

Unfortunately this is as expected. Range bars are build by historical tick data which is not supported with IB. You would need to connect to a supported data feed provider that supports historical tick data. See the link below under 'Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider' which will list all supported data feed providers and what data they support.
