How can I download historical data from 01.01.2011

Hello

I have attempted to download historical data for ES back from 01.01.2011 up to today - without success. There is appearing a window ''There is no L1 data available for the instrument.''
How can I make it work?

Could you clarify how you are trying to download this? Are you trying to download Market Replay data by going to File -> Utilities -> Download Replay Data?

Thanks for the information. NinjaTrader only has about a years worth of Market Replay data that you can download so you would not be able to download Market Replay data from 2011. Note that NinjaTrader only also stores the most common Futures and Forex instruments for Market Replay data as well.

So you can download Market Replay data from November 1, 2012 today but you would have to select the current contract month for this date as well so you can select the ES 12-12 instrument and then select November 1, 2012 and download Market Replay data.

Hello petersen82,

This is because you are using the ES 12-13 Contract Month on your charts. You will want to change the Contract Month to ES 12-12 when using Market Replay as the Contract Months must match for the date/time that you downloaded and want to replay.

It looks like my NT is loading just one day at a time. I have downloaded data from 2012.11.01
and when the day is over bars do not appear but time is ticking. Do I have to download once again from the very next day?

Yes, that is correct as you are only downloading one day at a time by default inside of NinjaTrader so you would have to specify to download November 2nd, 2012 for the ES 12-12.

There are some 3rd Party Add-ons that you may try to download more than one day at a time from the following links.
