sound alert error.

Can you explain this message in the log file:
"Unable to play sound file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7\sounds\air_raid.wav': Sound API only supports playing PCM wave files."


I added a number of wav files in order to increase the variety of alerts I can set up. All the original files seemed to be wav files. Can you explain how and what type of sound files might be added. Thank you.


What I mean is; what is a PCM wave file? where do I get them. How are they different than normal wave files.

WAV files have different methods of compression and NinjaTrader 7 uses native .NET implementation for PlaySound(), in which this class requires the PCM compression as dictated by the framework.
