BetterRenko Bars not loading properly

Hey guys for some reason I'm getting an error when I try to load tick data into BetterRenko bars on my VPS installation. The tick data shows up as slashes and not bars. it also does not appear to work properly inside a strategy. It was working properly before now. I also tried to reinstall Renkobars but that did not solve the issue. How do I fix this?

In order to assist you, please let me know the following:

• What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X)
• Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.
• What instrument have you selected? (Example: ES 12-13, $EURUSD, AAPL etc...)
• Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

I can investigate this further by reviewing you latest trace file:


Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Ryan L." in the subject line.

In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) Your latest trace file:

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

• The trace file will be named "trace.20131023.txt"

Hi, thanks, the version is 7.0.1000.16. 64 bit version.
- It appears to be just associated with the ES futures, the other instruments work just fine.
- I am Connected to Kinetick, but it appears that ES has the same problem connected or disconnected.
- Sometimes it says unable to load historical data: unknown instrument (panic) but sometimes it says nothing.
I will forward you the log file ASAP
