32-bit version versus 64-bit version

Hey guys, what is the difference between the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version? I have heard that the 32-bit version does not work as well as the 64-bit one.

Also, do you need more RAM for the 64-bit version? The minimum is still 2 GB?

Hello,

The 64-bit version allows you to access more memory resources. You do not need more memory for the 64-bit version to run, however to take advantage of the 64-bit process, more memory would perform better.

Licensing for 32bit & 64bit

I have a similar question along the lines of 32 vs 64 bit.

I originally activated/licensed my 32bit NT on my windows 7 64bit machine. But since upgrading to NT release 7.0.1000.16 yesterday I thought I would begin using NT 64bit.

However following the upgrade, when I started NT 64bit, it was not licensed, but the 32bit still was….

Can I now just start NT 64bit and re-enter my license key again and begin using it, without invalidating my license ? It would be for the same machine.

Hi,

Both versions will use the same license and configuration. There would not be anything preventing you from using the 32-bit and 64-bit version under the same license key.

Can you please try the 64-bit version again and ensure you have the correct license key input? If you have errors, please contact at support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com

I shutdown the 32bit and then restarted the 64bit again, and this time the 64bit came up with all my indicators and license perfectly and intact. Runs faster too.... Thanks !
