Issue with dividend/cashouts

On 16/5 the stock AIX (ASX) opened up at 0.17c from 3.17c the day before.
This was due to a dividend/cashout.
This is affecting the p/l of the strategy I have run.
I have gone into option/data and selected adjust for splits and dividends however this has not made any difference

Could it be you were not connected to Yahoo when selected 'Update splits & dividends'? Please see the instructions below to update splits and dividends.

I followed the instructions in the link however the stock did not update automatically so I tried to manually put in the dividend on the correct date.
There was no change in the p/l of the strategy? is there anything else you have to do/select to get the strategy analyser to consider manual dividends

Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab and make sure 'Adjust for dividends' is enabled.

If you select the Chart-tab in the Strategy Analyzer do you see historical data being adjusted by the dividends you setup?

I got it to work by pushing it out 1 day after the purchase date.
Does the dividend get deducted from purchase price or added to sale price

Good to hear you got it to work.

It will adjust the historical data as per the value and date you enter. I am not quite sure what you mean by purchase price and sale price.
