Freeze when Connection Lost

Hi Support,

i had the following Problem:
Every time when the Primary Connection (Kinetick) is lost, NT freezes and has to be hardly (Taskmanager) closed.

In the Logs i see that Kinetick reconnects within few seconds, but NT is already frozen.

I can´t exactly tell when or in which Version of NT it started, but it is no "V15" problem, i had it in V14 and i think V13 also.

I´m using NT7 (Single Broker) Version 15 64bit on Windows7 Pro 64bit with SP1.

Any ideas ?

Can you please confirm you do not have Kinetick set as a Backup datafeed connection with the steps provided below:

• Disconnect
• Tools-->Account Connections
• Select your Kinetick connection
• Change
• Next
• Backup datafeed connection: set to <None>
• Next
• Next
• Finish
• Reconnect

Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

Backup datafeed is set to "Interactive Brokers". Should I switch it to "None" nevertheless ?

Hello,

i want to give you feedback about the problem.

Since i switched the Backup-Feed to "None" i had no more freezes at all.
It looks like that this solved the problem.

I will keep this setting for now, but when i need a backup-feed, what shall i do then ?

Can you clarify, are you connecting to Kinetick and then connecting to Interactive Brokers?

If so, then should Kinetick get disconnected it would roll over to Interactive Brokers.

Hi,

yes i first connect to Kinetick and then to IB.
And when Kinetick lose its connection and the switch to IB should happen, NT freezes. But i dont know if the switch causes the freeze.

At the moment i use no backup-feed and everything works fine.
But that makes the function of backup-feed needless.

P.S. If the the question comes... i use tws v 938.1

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

* The trace file will be named trace.20130930.txt


Please attach both of these files to your next response. If these files are over 4MB, please let me know and I can respond with alternative instructions.
