Strange results

I have a fairly complicated strategy, but it appears to function properly.

When running a walk forward test, it completes successfully over about 4 months of data. The optimization is over 28 days with a 7 day walk forward test.

The results window shows $0 cum profit for many of the periods but not all. When I click on a period with supposedly no trades, the lower screen shows trades and some have profits and some have losses.

I can not verify if the strategy is a successful one or an unsuccessful one. NT7 does not "save" results, it re-runs the period again (apparently), so when it re-runs the data, it populates the lower window, but does not "update" the upper window. I would be happy if it at least did that, so I could get an idea of where I am with this strategy.

Hello Leroy,

You can save your results by pressing the "Save" button in the upper right corner of the Strategy Analyzer window.

Also, you can right click inside of the results, select Grid, and either "Save As" a .csv file or "Export to Excel" for your results.

As for the results not populating, in the Walk forward tab, can you restart NinjaTrader and get the same result?
