"Connection Configuration Instructions" for ZENFIRE

In the Ninja/Zenfire "connection options" box we see 2 options regarding historical data which are: 1) Enabled or 2) "Disabled, I will use another connection for historical data". Which one should we choose? We don't use Ninja for charting. We use tradestation for charting (historical candlestick bars) and our price data feeds feed into the tradestation platform. Tradestation generates buy and sell signals and then sends these signals to ninja (using DLL method) and then ninja sends the orders to Mirus broker (using Zenfire). If we do choose option (2) for "historical data" which is "disabled" will Ninja automated trading still work or by choosing option 2 will this mean that no real-time price quotes will be feeding into ninja which will mean ninja will not be able to send orders automatically to broker? Is there a difference here between historical data and real-time quotes feeding into Ninja? How does this all work? We are confused. Which option should we choose based on the info we have provided above? For the "historical data" option should we choose enabled or disabled?

If you do not use NinjaTrader for chart or any Historical Data is should not matter what choice is selected, but it will not effect any of your performance inside of NinjaTrader if it is enabled.

No this option will only effect Historical Data, you will still be getting real-time data from Zen-Fire.

You may just want to leave the Historical Data enabled just so that if you want to bring up a chart in NinjaTrader you can have access to it since it is not going to be effecting the way your orders are being placed.
