    Suddenly cannot place order on CAC40

    Hi,

    I got following error at TWS log when I try to place order from NJ:
    14:11:00:209 <- 3-17-6796-CAC40-FUT-201309-0---MONEP-MONEP-EUR--BUY-8-MKT-0-0-DAY--U1138700-O-0--1-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-U1138700/8-0-------0--0-0---0---0-0--0------
    14:11:00:380 -> 4-2-6796-200-The contract description specified for CAC40 is ambiguous;
    you must specify the multiplier.-

    I am trading on CAC40 for a long time, and no error.

    NJ version:7.0.1000.15
    TWS Build 938.1e

    Anyone can help?

    Can you please send me your log and trace files, so I can investigate. Log and trace files can be found at the following locations. Please attach them in the email. You can send it to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Put 'Att Jason, Suddenly cannot place order on CAC40' in the subject header.

    C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->(My) Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Log--> log.20130902 for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

    C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->(My) Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20130902 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

      FTI same problem

      The FTI future on the Amsterdam AEX index has the same problem and error response. Today a new smaller future on the AEX has been introduced, I suppose correlation with that?

        Yes, can you please proceed as follows. Disconnect IB and go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager. Highlight the FTI and click Edit. Select the Misc-tab and change the symbol map for IB to EOE|||200

        Click OK. Remove and re-add the FTI 09-13 to your instrument list now that it has different settings. Instructions can be found at the link below.


        Click OK in the Instrument Manager and check if you receive data without error.

          I suppose same solution works for CAC futures as mini futures were introduced as well for CAC

            Yes, please use CAC40|||10 as new symbol map.

              Hello.. AEX futures problem

              Okey forget it....
              Did a restart, and for now it all works agian
              Greetings

              Not want to hijack the tread,
              but does this solution work...?
              Still have a problem with the AEX futures
              I tried it, (it did work) but it looks like it stopped working. (roughly 30 minutes ago..? )
              I have both a feed from IB as well as Kinetick
              settings at Misc tab:
              IB are: EOE|||200
              kinetick are: AEX

                Hello mokum777,

                Yes, it should work. Does the issue remain after a restart of NinjaTrader? If so, please double check if the FTI uses the adjusted symbol map.

                What connection sequence do you use? Do you connect to IB or Kinetick first?
