Warning: Possible bug/caveat with NT SuperDOM

I held a trade overnight and in the morning closed it for what I thought was a nice profit.

However, it appears that Mirus had closed my position the previous night (for valid reasons, but that's not important here).

What's important is that the SuperDOM still showed that I had a position open! If I had known that the position was closed the previous night I would have opened a new one first thing in the morning. But I didn't and ended up losing out on a nice trade.

Be warned that when a third party closes your position the SuperDOM does not update to reflect that!

    Hello Instamess,

Could you send me your log and trace files for today so that I may look into what occurred.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Support.

Reference this thread in the body of the email and in the subject line put ATTN: JC.

Happy to be of further assistance.

It happened on the 22nd. Where would I find the log file for that date?

Are you saying then that by design the software isn't meant to do that? That if the trade is closed by a third party my screen shouldn't show that the trade is still open?

        Hello Instamess,

Typically, if an order is filled on your brokers side it will push that information to NinjaTrader so I would like to look into this to see what exactly was happening at this time.

Using the Mail to Support option it will get the files from the 22nd, but they will be located in (My) Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> log and trace folder respectively and the file name will be log.YYYYMMDD.txt or trace.YYYYMMDD.txt.
