Annoying TD connection error

Hello,

Has anyone found a fix for the TD error "response too short {2D}{20}..."?

It is terribly annoying and with a 150 instrument strategy I get the pleasure to click on "Ok" 150 times each time I enable it!

Also, is there any NT setting that would prevent this error to take the focus and be on top of all the other windows?

We have escalated this error to TD Ameritrade which would need to correct the issue server side. Unfortunately we can only wait for them to correct the server with issue. I do expect that you do not run into the same issue tomorrow since you will connect to another server.

I have tried connecting to TDA for the past few days and each time have received these error messages. As far as I'm concerned, Ninjatrader is worthless in terms of using TDA as a vendor.

Yes, I found a fix.

Nothing will get done with tda and nt7. Pigs will fly first. I signed up as a tda dev, and have asked why the hold up over there, wasnt pretty.

NT8 is supposed to use a different thing, so it might be fixed there.

Anyways, the only way to avoid it, is to turn off backfill in the TDA connection setup.
You wont have history, only data going forward. If you record the data for market replay, that will load in.
