dual data sources?

I am using Interactive Brokers as my broker and Kinetick as my data source.

I want to trade through IB, but get all of my data, historical and realtime, through Kinetick.

I see where to choose Kinetick as my historical data provider in the Connection Options. This has worked for me. I know because before I had this checked, IB would throw errors after loading for a little while saying I was downloading too much historical data.

So the question I have is:
From a realtime aspect, how do I get Kinetick to be the primary data provider. (I see the 'Backup datafeed connection' option, but that says backup... not primary)....

You will need to connect to Kinetick first. The first connection will be the primary connection.

When connecting to Kinetick and your broker, you have some options...

Connect to Kinetick first then to your broker. This setup will get all live and historical data from Kinetick, and still allow you to execute trades to your broker.

Or, connect to your broker first, then to Kinetick, with historical data disabled on your broker. This will allow you to get live data from your broker, and all historical data from Kinetick, and will also use Kinetick as a backup.
