    can't find java executable

    Hi there,
    I recently bought a new hard drive and did a fresh install of ninjatrader. I restored a backup from my previous version and now when I try and connect to my interactive brokers account I am getting a message:

    Login failed: can't find java executable at "C\\windows\system32\..\sys....

    Unable to start TWS


    I do have java installed, it is in system32 folder, thoughts?

    is this related to mismatch of TWS and NT? I have the latest of each.

      Hi Kyle,
      Thanks for the fast response. I actually forgot to 'check' the enable activate activeX box within TWS. Single connections are now working. But now I have another problem. I am trying to connect two different IB accounts at the same time. I hear this is possible. I changed the port numbers on each, and gave one connection a client ID of 1, as apposed to default 0. So within Ninjatrader it looks like this:

      connection A: port 7497 client ID #1
      connection B: port 7496 client ID #0

      i changed the port respectively within TWS, not the ID number though ( do you need too? )

      here is the error message I am getting:
      login failed: IB.Adapater.MessageLoop No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

      here are the versions I am using:
      NT: 7.0.1000.14
      TWS: 939.2

        Hello,

        Client ID will need to be set within TWS as well.

        You will also need to shut down NinjaTrader and TWS then roll back to the recommended 938.1 build of TWS via this link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/ninjatrad...tall_938_1.exe

          Hi Kyle,
          I just tried your advice. I uninstalled the latest version of TWS, installed the 938 you linked too, updated the TWS client ID numbers and still same error message. Any other suggestions? solving this so that I can toggle between two accounts different accounts is a very important feature to me.

            Hello,

            Please provide me with images showing the settings you are using for the two accounts. Those images should be sent to Support AT NinjaTrader DOT com. Please include a link to this forum thread with that message as well.
