TradeStation data import and daylight saving time (DST)

The NT help instructs to change the TradeStation charts time zone to "Local" before exporting minute data for NT.
Living near NYC, my time zone is GMT-5hrs, but during the summer GMT-4hrs due to daylight savings time.
When I do the import of data in NT Historical Data Manager, should I select UTC-4 or UTC -5 for the time zone of imported data?

You would want to use the time you're using currently. The time zone settings on the PC will convert the time appropriately based off the current timezone settings which are accurate at the time you export the data.

Thank you for the answer, but I am still unclear to which one I shall use in the particular example I gave: Shall I use the UTC-5 or UTC-4 for data exported in Eastern Time zone with Daylight Savings Time (GMT-4)?

I believe you want UTC-5 as we're in summer hours, however, wouldn't it be UTC-6 and UTC-5 during summer hours?

I see, thanks for the clarification. In this case, use GMT-4 until the time shift.
