    FX order submitted by NT

    Hello,

Earlier today an market order to sell all my HKD and convert it to USD was submitted to my IB account and I did not know why. Later I found out in the NT Log that NT submitted this order after I hit "Flatten Everything" and name of the order was "Close".

I'm not sure why NT submitted this order but my guess is that NT assumes any non-USD currency held in an account is an open position and closes it when flattening the account? My IB account's base currency is actually HKD so I end up having a open position after flattening everything.

If I am correct about why that happened, is it possible to set the base currency in NT?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

So that I may investigate please contact my by email at Support AT NinjaTrader DOT com. In the message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's log file. The file is located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder. I would need a copy of the 'log.20130804.txt' file. Additionally, please include the time of the flatten order.
