Keep getting 'Ninjatrader application has stopped working'

I have a workspace provided by a company which opens two charts. When I add additional indicators to these charts, save and then try to re-open, I get the 'Ninjatrader application has stopped working'. The only way now is to kill Ninjatrader and restart.
Alternatively if I open the original workspace and then try to open another chart using a default options layout I already have, I get the same message.

Has anyone experienced these problems?

Which items are you adding to the chart before the crash message occurs?

If you added only items which were included with NinjaTrader by default (like SMA for example) would the same error occur?
