Local OCO Simulation Setting

Questions:
1. What are the advantages of the Local OCO simulation setting?
2. If this setting is true will this reduce the delay between submission of strategy based stop and target orders?

Reason for asking:
In a custom strategy, OCO is handled implicitly by NinjaScript and does not appear to react quick enough when the market is moving at an incredible rate (when instrument has a short range i.e. a range of 4 the target and stop get filled at the same time and an overfill occurs).

Hello,

The advantage would be that the OCO handling is managed directly by NinjaTrader methods. However this does require that NinjaTrader is running and connected to your broker.

As you pointed out, there is a 200ms delay to assign the OCO handling with the native OCO methods.

We really do not recommend using the Local OCO simulation unless we may need to troubleshoot and isolate behavior related to OCO. At this time, there are no open items with the CQG OCO methods and aside from the 200ms delay, the server side OCO should work out to your benefit
