My Solution for (New) Cheesy Zenfire Connection

Not a question, but this may help others who are having this problem.

Over the last week my connection had become very slow. The DOMs were not populating with data at startup, the logs showed that the Zenfire connection was being lost and re-connected frequently - every 30 seconds or less. This happened with the latest NT version 6 and 6.5 beta, but only on my main workstation. I contacted NT support who offered that it was likely a Windows, ISP, or provider problem.

I wiped my C drive and installed Windows XP Pro from scratch, updated to SP2 and the problem persisted. The answer seems to be my nVidia network driver. I have an NForce 4 motherboard and was using the drivers from the original CD. I installed the latest ethernet driver from nVidia and the problem has disappeared (fingers crossed).

Me sleep better now. Happy Trading...
