Market Analyzer & Watch lists

From what I gather searching here, the market analyzer is supposed to do the role of a watch list. But I'm still a bit confused.

Is there a way to name and save the market analyzer window? The only thing I can see is when I shut down and restart, the same windows are preserved. But if I accidently close this window, it's lost. No warning, no confirmation, nothing. Furthermore it doesn't seem possible to have several "watch lists" saved and choose one (or more) for the market analyzer.

I'm thinking I'm missing something because every charting program has watch lists. What am I missing? This and configurable alerts on the watch list are the only things keeping me from purchasing a license.

You understanding of these limitations are correct.

However:
- you can create custom instrument lists (aka watch lists) in the instrument manager
- you can create market analyzer templates in order to save the layout for future use

Thanks for the reply.

I need to store notes for each instrument, and if possible a price (which will be my trigger or target). Is this possible?

Unfortunately this is not supported. However you could makes notes in the journal (see "journal" tab).
