questions about historical data being saved automatically to my computer

I recently realized that historical data is being saved to my computer each day. Is there a setting for this, and where can I find it? Also, it's not necessarily a bad thing that historical data is being saved to my computer. As long as it's not taking up much disk space on my computer. Does historical data being saved to my computer eat up a lot of disk space?

Hello patpat,

This feature can be found by going to Tools > Options > Data tab. To save the data on your machine you will want to check the box for 'Save chart data as historical' and press OK.

The data files should not take up much space.

Historical tick data is saved in the Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\tick folder, historical minute data is stored in the Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\minute folder and historical daily data is stored in the Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\day folder
