how do i change bar count on a chart?

when I run the strategy analyzer, approximately 150 bars are displayed on the chart. how do I change the 150 bars default value to another value so that I don't have to do a 'zoom in' every time?

Hi Joe, are you referring to the chart option in the SA? Unfortunately the default zoom level applied could not be set here. I will gladly note this request down though on our product development enhancement tracking lists so it can be considered for a future release.

my concern is not about zoom settings. my intent is to have [e.g.] 20 bars initially appear on the chart rather than 150 as presently occurs. that would avoid me having to do something such as zoom in to display the desired 20 bars that I would like to be displayed from the start.

Thanks, that's a direct function of the zoom level - i.e. how many bars are displayed per default. I will add this to our list to allow more control here.

zoom level cannot be set anywhere

I know i'm beating this to death but want to make sure I understand. I think you are saying i will have to wait for a programming upgrade because a zoom level cannot be set anywhere....in the charting portion or elsewhere. even so, no complaints, NT is one hell of a program. i'm guessing at least hundreds of thousand lines of reliable code.

Yes you understand correctly. This is a current limitation that we're looking at improving in the next major release.
