    MB Trading: 'Trader permissioned View Only' Error

    Upon submitting a live order to MBTrading, NT yielded the following error:

    "MB Trading, Unable to process last request: Trader permissioned View Only affected Order: SellShort 1000 Market."

    The OrderState was then put into a Rejected state by NT.

    I see only one other post on this, and it is not discussed. To whom shall I send my log* file to?

    Thanks.

          @BankRobber:

          Sorry I did not update this thread. Maybe your problem is the same as mine?

          My error was caused by attempting to use Ninja on an account set up for MetaTrader by MB Trading. When you open a new account with MB Trading, you have a choice between a "Desktop" and a MetaTrader account. For whatever reason, I ended up with a MetaTrader account. Amazingly, NT still connects and gets data. But, you get this error when you try to place an order. NT uses an API through MB Desktop. So, you must use MB Desktop (and thus, have a Desktop account) to place trades with MB Trading via NT.

          MB Trading claims it is impossible to convert a MetaTrader account into a Desktop account (which sounds like a messed up process to me). But, it is easy to make a new Desktop account, and then move your money into the new account. I think it took me less than 24 hours.

          I think that both NT and MB Trading should document this process better.

          Hopefully this solves your problem?
