I am subscribed for eSignal data feed, for CME, Eurex and Russian market (RTS, FORTS) in particular. I know that there are differencies in indicating this or that symbol in Ninja Trader in comparison with eSignal. For example, in eSignal DAX is spelt as AX M3-DT and in Ninja Trader it is FDAX. The problem is that in eSignal Russian index futures is RI M3-RTF, but what is its symbol in Ninja Trader? Thanks in advance

Hello Trader_Igor,
You will need to create a new instrument in the Instrument Manager. See the link below for information.
To support a futures instrument XXX Z2-YYY, whereas XXX is the eSignal instrument name and YYY is the eSignal exchange name, you need to configure the following in the Instrument Manager:
- 'Default' exchange should be assigned in the Definition-tab
- Set mapping to XXX|YYY. This would be translated to XXX Z2-YYY for the Dec 12 expiry. You can set the mapping under the Misc-tab next to eSignal. So you would enter RI|RTF

I have found it, but the master instrument says that it can only hold letters and digits and underscore. i don't undestand what it means. Please help!Originally posted by NinjaTrader_Jason View PostHello Trader_Igor,

I entered RI as Master Instrument and in symbol ampping I tried RI RTF, RI, RTF but neither of it worked.
