S&P SmallCap 600 Futures

Hello,
I would ask You, why I can't see chart for S&P SmallCap 600 Futures (in Ninja Trader is indexed as SMP). I added it in Instrument Manager with no probem with in 6. contract month. But then when I start chart with this future, i see nothing.

Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

(For a chart) what interval is selected?

Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

I'm connected to CQG, but I tried it also with Zenfire (Mirus), with same result. There is no error message. I have no problem with other futures/indexes. I used 5 min timeframe for chart. When I tried to open chart with S&P SmallCap 600 Futures, also i didn't see any price in upper left corner in Orders tab in main window of Ninjatrader. No errors in Log Tab.

I get nothing also in ZenFire (Dorman).


SMP looks correctly mapped via NT mapping to SMC.

There's an excel here which lists CQG symbols, and SMC is the correct mapping.

Just as a test, "EMD 06-13" worked (E-mini S&P MidCap 400 Futures).

One other thing to note, that 600 barely trades.

E-mini S&P MidCap 400 Futures works correct for me too.

I tried, SMC symbol in NT, but there is no future with this symbol. Strange thing is, that when I chose week timeframe in Ninja, I get chart, till last week. (21/2013)

Hello rrichie,

So CQG and Zen-Fire will not have access to any Historical Data for the SMP instrument which is why your charts are blank and you would not be able to load any historical data.

You may have connected to the Kinetick - End of Day (Free) connection so that you may receive daily and above historical data for the SMP instruments so that way it will generate a weekly chart for you.

This is because CQG does not have access to any Historical Data so NinjaTrader will use the Historical Data that is on your Local PC which has been downloaded from the Kinetick (End of Day) connection.
