Creating a Renko Chart Using 1m Historical Data

Hello,

I have 10 years of historical EURUSD 1m data that I would like to build a Renko block strategy on however it appears that the only way to form a Renko chart on NT7 is to have access to tick data.

While I may not even be able to access enough historical tick data, especially considering the size of file required, I didn't think that you could even import tick data in the import wizard.

Is there any possible bypass this drawback by creating them on an offline NT7 chart for backtesting?

Thank you for your note.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to create renko bars without tick data. It is, however, possible to import tick based data. Please see the following link to our Help Guide for more information about importing data: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h.../importing.htm

My apologies, it appears that it is working correctly now and building off of my 1m data.

EDIT - Wow, fast response, thank you. My chart was able to create the chart after about 15-20 minutes of processing.

EDIT *Again* - It seems to have just pulled the tick data to create my chart from my FXCM account. It doesn't appear to be enough data here. Well, off to find some tick data.
