FTSE 100 Index Realtime

Hi

How can I get FTSE 100 Index realtime in NinjaTrader, we have been told that Kinetick do not offer this which is odd becuase they offer EOD.

I need a cheap solution to getting FTSE100 Index data in realtime, esignal are so expensive its stupid its like they want to punish us for not using their platform so they just charge the same.

Thank you for your forum post.


You will be able to access live FTSE 100 Index data on a real-time Kinetick connection.

Within NinjaTrader you will use either the Z or Q instrument.

You'll also be able to enjoy all these benefits with any Basic Kinetick Service subscription:

I dont know what to do, this is what kinetick have told us.

At this time, Kinetick is os only able to provide End Of Day data for the FTSE 100 Index. We are not able to provide real-time data or intra-day historical data for this particular index.

my boss has told me that this is just the FTSE 100 futures contract.

There must be a feed in NinjaTrader that is capable of giving me the FTSE 100 cash price?

Apologies for any misunderstandings.


I can confirm that the FTSE 100 Index Future is available on Kinetick End of Day for end of day intervals (Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly) this data is also available on a Live Kinetick connection (Tick, second, minute etc...) if you have a subscription to the live Kinetick data feed.

You will access the FTSE 100 future with the symbol Z within NinjaTrader. For example: Z 06-13

I too am looking for a live/realtime/cash FTSE feed.

Sorry, maybe I'm being thick here, but this simply repeats that FTSE future is available, something which isn't in question.

What data? Are we still talking about the futures data which the original poster isn't asking about?

Could you clear it up for me please? What you are really saying is that when it comes to the FTSE Kinetick DO NOT provide a cash price and they provide ONLY the futures?

Thank you for your forum post and for the clarification here in regards to FTSE 100 Future or Cash price.


Kinetick supports the Future contract based on the FTSE 100 exchange, as well as an Index value with a symbol map of FIY.X that you can add to NinjaTrader.

Unfortunately the individual component stocks that make up the FTSE 100 Index/Future would not be available on Kinetick.

If you are looking for a CFD for the FTSE 100 Index, unfortunately this is not supported in Kinetick at the moment. You can access this instrument with a connection to FXCM at this time.

CFD's will be supported globally in our next major release of NinjaTrader 8.
