IB connection

Good morning,
I want to test a stock strategy and I connect NT to IB. I have a real IB account and free NT.
The connection is good, but when I want to send and order it seem don't work.
Do I understand the simulation work only for forex or, is it my IB account wich doesn't allow this? In this case, must I sucribe to the IB datamarket?
For more information, when I launch TWS and I see stock quotes, the real time price appear.

What account do you have selected when you setup your strategy?

If it is set to SIM101, then it will send orders to the internal NinjaTrader SIM101 account.

I choiced the sim101 account.
The error message is: "there is no data market available to drive the simulation engine".
I don't have this problem if I buy on the forex.
I looked my IB subscription, and it seem ok, i have forex and US bundle, and in TWS i can see the real quotes.
For information, if I display a forex graph, it's ok and not okay for stock.

Thank you for the update.


Please set a simulation price for the instrument you wish to trade.

Tools -> Instrument Manager
Select the instrument -> Edit
Set the Sim feed start price field, usually set to something similar to what the instrument is currently trading.
Press "OK" on both the Edit window and the Instrument Manager.

Is it possible the problem come from the definition of misc in the instrument manager?
I think that because if I buy schw, it work and this stock exist by default in NT, and the stock where it doesn't work have been add by myself and I informed only IB in the Misc. In the same time, I add the symbol for "simulator" in the Misc for one of my add stock and doesn't work too.
