Problem with data from IB

When I connect NT to my IB account, (live or paper trade) and I pull up a 60 min. chart it only goes back 1 week. If I switch to daily it goes back for months. This happens both on ES6-13, and Eur.usd. How far can I go back for historical data with IB?

Hello,

You should be able to get roughly a year of minute data from IB, however it is possible you are reaching one of the API Limitations on historical data requests.

What happens when you right click on the chart and select 'reload all historical data'? Are you getting any errors when you reload the data? If so, what do the errors report?

When I hit reload historical data, it pauses to reload the data, but still only comes up with 1 weeks data.
When I load a new chart it comes up 1 min. even when I change to 60 min.. I then have to change the time period after the chart has come up. No error messages.

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

• The log file will be named "log.YYYYMMDD.txt"
