    Market replay to 2099!

    Hi guys

My NT version is 7.0.10000.13 (the latest one, I think).

Please see the graphic below. You will see the end date as 2099, hardly the year we're in!

(Just to say the date format is European so there's no problem there.)

This isn't the first time I've this problem. Also, I opened a new workspace before connecting to Market Replay.

I'd much appreciate some advice as to how to correct this end date to today's date.

    Thanks very much in advance.

I think that you may have hit the Y2K problem?
    1999 has wrapped incorrectly?
Do you happen to have data from 1999?

Koganam - thanks very much, as many times before, for your suggestions.

I think that you may have hit the Y2K problem?

      1999 has wrapped incorrectly?
I don't think these are the issues here - it must be a glitch within either Ninja or my own PC, which is only three years old.

Do you happen to have data from 1999?
I only have data going back to the beginning of 2012.

I've since realised that I can manually adjust the dates - but it would be nice if this problem could be ironed out.

      Much obliged.

        Hello arbuthnot,

Market Replay data is saved at the following location:

        C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->(My) Documents--> NinjaTrader 7-->db-->data

The "data" folder contains folders named per date which in turn contain .ntm and .nt2 files per instrument.

If the file structure in the "data" folder is changed, it will cause issues. Could this be the case? Please make sure the "data" folder only contains folders named per date and no other folders or files.

Jason - thanks for telling me about the "data" folder. This contains 394 folders all of which have date names such as "20130513".

When in the "data" folder, Properties tells me there are a total of 1725 files.

I did a search for *.ntm files and precisely the same number was found.

So I know for sure there are no extraneous files in the the folder and all folders are correctly named.

Yet - I've just checked - and I still have the problem: the end date with the year 2099.

Yes, I can change the dates manually but would you have any other ideas as to how to correct this?

It could just be, as Koganam was hinting at, some deep conflict between my XP system and Ninjatrader.
