Historical Data going back as far as possible

I've been using NT with esignal as my data provider for a couple of years now.

Whenever I load a stock or index, say ^DJIA, and just type in 500,000 for days to look back to try to get as much data as possible, it usually stops at around 1991. But when I get onto Esignal's own platform for their $INDU (same instrument) chart, they have data going back to 1970. How do I get that data for both the NT charts and strategy analyzer? Is there some sort of setting that I haven't noticed?

I believe this is falls under the "Extended History" inside of eSignal which NinjaTrader would not be able to access. This is on our product enhancement list for NinjaTrader.

You may try to get around this by exporting the data from eSignal and import it into NinjaTrader. Here is a link to our Help Guide that goes over the import method.
