Point value vs order quantity

Hi there,

I have been reading the following URL and did not understand its relations to point value and tick size.

A lot size of one equals a base currency unit of one and DOES NOT equal a typical "standard" lot size of 100,000. Therefore, if you want to trade a standard lot you would use an order quantity of 100,000.

Suppose if Kinetick is set to tenthpip, what should the settings be in Strategy Analyzer if i wish to trade 5 micro lots (5000) for the following:
1) AUDUSD
Current point value = 100,000
Tick Size = 0.00001
Order quantity =

2) AUDJPY
Current point value = 1000
Tick Size = 0.001
Order quantity =

You would set order quantity to 5000 for both instruments.

May I know what is the purpose of point value in this case? When would this value be needed?

1) AUDUSD
Current point value = 100,000

[NinjaTrader_Jason]

It indicates that one point equals to $100,000.
