positions not showing for symbols that are mapped

The orders show in the order tab, but positions are missing in control center.
In the log I see messages like the following:
Mbt.Adapter.OnPositionUpdated: unknown instrument '+SYMBOL'

SYMBOL is something that is mapped in Instrument Manager. This was necessary for symbols containing characters NT didn't like.

Is there another mapping that is necessary to get the data back into control center or is this just a limitation if mapping is used?
