Can I use Market Analyzer with a date in the past?

I'd like to know if there is a way to use Market Analyzer with a date in the past.

I am testing my indicators and found that they work on a few charts. Now I wanted to use the conditions with the Market Analyzer backtesting the filter with a past date.

Is this possible?

This is possible by using the Market Replay connection to replay previous dates.

I don't understand how to use the recording feature. even after I read all instructions and looked at the videos you provided.

This is what I did

I enabled the "Record for Market Replay" option. Connected to Kinetick and lanched the Market Analyzer with my list of stocks and indicators.

All data is downloaded and I can see it is stored under the "day" folder in the db directory. However nothing is recorded in the "data" directory.

So when I disconnect Kinetick and connect the Data Replay I get an error message that says that there is no recorded data.

I even tried to use the Reload all Historical Data function in Market Analyzer but nothing was recorded

What am I doing wrong?

The file is actually over 5 MB so I cannot email it.

Tomorrow I will recreate the situation with a smaller list of stocks and send out the message with the new file

I received the response from Support. The problem is that I was using Kinetich and that does not provide the required data for replay. I switched my connection to Yahoo and was able to record the data correctly.
The only problem is that by following the procedure above I only recorded about 1 hour of data using the Market Analyzer. Basically only the time that I was live with tyhe Yahoo connection
How can I change that to record 30 days? I don't need minute type information. I need the EOD data for each day in the last 2-3 months

The 'Record for market replay' option will only record live data going forward, it will not record or store historical data as replay data.

OK. So I am trying to understand how I can use replay to check the setup of my filters in the past within Market Analyzer.

I tried to download replay data but for all the stocks I checked I got an error message saying that the L1 data was not available for the instrument/date

Is there any other way to download the required replay data?

If the data is not available from our servers you will receive that message.

There is no method to acquire the data unless you can find it from a third party.

Now I wanted to use the conditions with the Market Analyzer backtesting the filter with a past date.

If it is only the previous day then 'Record for market replay' should provide the data you need going forward.

Is there a way to convert or import the data I can download from my provider to the format that Ninja Trader needs for the replay?

There is no supported method to convert historical data into Market Replay data. We are looking to improve upon Market Replay in the next major release of NinjaTrader.

every time Iam traying to download any data for market replay, it says error,conection to data server is not avilable now try it later, but I am traying for few days now. different instruments,
I have free version, coneceted to CQG
