    Connection Lost - Zen-Fire / MIRUS

    Hello!

I have an issue with Zen-Fire connection which starts last week.
It happens to .12 and .13 versions.

Open NT7 and Zen-FIre will be connected automatically.
After some time, like 5-15 minutes, the connection status became RED - Connection Lost.
Trying to Disconnect from Zen-Fire but it can take up to 1-2 minutes
Reconnect to Zen-Fire can take up to 1-2 minutes.

When I restart NT7, connection available in 2-5 seconds.

No packet loss on network. Speed around 60 Mbps.

    Any ideas whats happen?

    Thank you.

    Hello vadimv,

Thank you for your forum post.

NinjaTrader behaves like a radio receiver in that it receives signals from the connected server. If the signals are not coming through, the underlying broker/market data vendor API reports this to the NinjaTrader application which in turn reports this back to you. Once a loss of connection is reported, NinjaTrader or the underlying API will continuously try to re-establish a connection.
Common reasons that contribute to connection stability are:
    • ISP issues
    • Hardware firewall changing IP addresses frequently
    • Dynamic IP addresses changing frequently intraday. Usually this happens once a week but you may want to check with your ISP. If they do change daily, requesting a static IP address may help.
    • Broker/market data servers may be experiencing temporary downtime

I can investigate your disconnections further. Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Ryan L." in the subject line.

In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
    • The trace file will be named "trace.YYYYMMDD.txt"

Looks like issue resolved by deleting connection and restart NT7 and then recreate connection.
      Will see.

      thank you.
