data sources

I am using the cqg free version. I have been doing backtesting & optimization using the external data feed from the drop down list. I see there's a lot of discussion about data sources. When I connect to ext. data feed from the drop down list, who is providing this & how accurate is it? The reason I'm not using cqg is they don't provide data for forex.

Hello diggerydoo99,

The 'External Data Feed" would just be a way to have NinjaTrader listen for data to come in from an external source. If you have to setup a provider to work with the "External Data Feed" so you would get data from that provider using that Feed like TradeStation otherwise you would not be receiving any data from that connection.
