Patsystem sim environment

I wanted to know if it is possible to connect NT to the Patsystem sim environment to test an automated trading system and the link to pats?

It is possible to connect NinjaTrader to PATSystems for this purpose.

thanks for the quick reply - but just browsing the instructions - it looks like this is only for the LIVE patsystem server - I want to connect to the SIM patsystem server. Will that work? There is a line in the guide that their server needs to be set to LIVE???

Hi Joel,

Server type cannot be set from live to any other value however as far as I know this should still allow for connection to the simulated environment.

ok - thanks. I will try that. I assume however, that I need a licensed version of NT regardless.

Hi Joel,

That is correct - a live NinjaTrader license would be required to access any account external to NinjaTrader.

are there any other users out there that you know of who have successfully connected to the pats sim? I just want to know if there is anyone I can contact if I end up having issues... thx.

Hi -

I finally tried doing this and it is unfortunately not working. NT throws an error message (pop-up) that says Login failed: Connection terminated by host system.

also in the log there is a yellow line in thelog saying category - connection - message connection terminated by host system (Panic).

What should I do?
