    Data lost

    Hi guys

    I've had some broadband downtime today and I've lost a few hours of today's data on my charts.

    My feed is Kinetick.

    I've tried reloading historical data and repairing the database but these haven't worked.

    Moreover, there's this log entry:

    Unable to load server side config file: The remote name could not be resolved: 'www.ninjatrader.com'
    I'd much appreciate any advice as to how to get the lost data.

    Hello arbuthnot,

    Please restart NinjaTrader, connect to Kinetick and try to load the charts.

    If you are still unable to load the data, please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Support.

    Please put 'ATTN: Chris S' in the subject line and reference this thread in the body of the email:

      I hadn't thought about restarting Ninja. I've now done this and all the data is now restored.

        I recently had a similar situation, and I immediately contacted support, and they were already able to help me. They said the first thing to do is restart NinjaTrader if this does not help. If the data does not recover, then contact any raid data recovery service that will help restore all the data, but this had to be done only as a last resort. It's good that everything worked out for me, too. Otherwise, I would have been trying to solve this problem for a very long time with just a restart. This thread will be very useful to many people who face a similar problem.
