two basic NT questions about it's design

    1) is there a way to save the 'backtest properties' for a backtest so that they reappear when the backtest is loaded at a later time?

    2) i don't clearly understand the logical design of NT. i will appreciate being pointed to a link or links which explain the relationship between/among workspaces and strategies. [eg] what does a separate workspace do for me, do strategies 'go with' a workspace, etc.

    Hello joemiller,

    1. Yes, you may right click inside of the Strategy Parameters and select "Set Default for <NameOfStrategy>" to save the settings for that particular Straregy.

    2. Strategies are going to be separate from you workspace. They will be saved in your Database file so changing or switching different workspaces should not effect any of your Strategies. You may manage all of your working strategies from the Strategies tab of the Control Center. Here is a link to our Help Guide that you may view.

I just tried it and it works

I just tried it and it works vey nicely. Many thanks, JC.

It didn't remember that the instrument was the Eurodollar and that the Default Quantity was therefore 100,000 but I guess that was just a Strategy design judgment call.
