    NT7 rel.12 64bit only recognize one core

    Hi,

I've just installed lastest NinjaTrader 7 release 12, and running on 64bit executable, platform only uses one core in backtesting.

    My config

    Intel i7 3770k (quad-core)
    8GB Ram (2x4GB)
    Mobo MSI z77ma-g45
    Windows 7 64 pro

    Any idea

fercho, which script are you working with here? Would you see the same on our shipped SampleMACrossOver as well? Are you backtesting / optimizing in the Strategy Analyzer or starting a single instance backtest from the chart for example?

Thanks fercho. Are you using the same OS / .NET versions in both setups? Would you mind forwaring me the Logs and Trace files via Help >> Mail to Support from the new i7 setup for review?

Hi Bertrand, my fault, seems that my script works the same on both computers, I'll do more test and let you know, thanks again

No worries, glad to assist. Please be sure to compare for example with the SampleMACrossOver shipped with NT, this way you test an 100% identical, simple script to compare and get started investigating.

Well I've some experiment. I ran the same strategy in 2 different PC, with same NinjaTrader 7 v11 installed, same microsoft framework 4.5 updated, only program installed was NT7 installed, same multi instrument database, same loading database procedure, when ran backtest same results from that strategy,

When optimizing a double value on both pc in multi instrument strategy, I get perfect results in my vaio laptop with i5 (2 real cores) but not working on my desktop with i7 lastest 3770k processor. It just freezes and all the memory ram is consumed, and cpu stays at 1% and ssd disk stays in a endless working.

Look at pictures. Let me know please since I bought the desktop i7 machine recently in order to accelerate optimization processes...

It was a RAM issue, I've updated my RAM from 8GB to 16GB.

Now the intel i7 3770k works plenty in it's 8 cores.

                Thanks a lot.
